Hello, I’m Harpreet!

The Vision
I create wearable sculpture for the body. Each piece, fabricated by hand, exists in a delicate dance between precision and playfulness, revealing itself through movement and wear as it comes to life on the body.

The Inspiration
My practice is rooted in the fabrication and accumulation of recurring geometric and organic forms. I experiment with patterns through repetition and layering, intentionally disrupting them to transform simple shapes into visual explorations of balance and tension. I am interested in how a concept can be pushed, played with, and eventually driven to its edge. Every piece is a unique study; by returning to foundational shapes, I am able to honor their original intent while discovering new thresholds of balance and materiality.

A Departure from the Expected
Prioritizing concept over convention, my jewelry challenges traditional notions of preciousness, celebrating form and craftsmanship. The material is the vehicle, not the point. For me, jewelry is not just adornment; it's an opportunity to explore the boundaries of what jewelry can be.

My story

I am a Washington DC based jewelry artist. Born and raised in India, I moved to the United States at the age of 12.

My jewelry practice began at the Penland School of Craft, where I completed three immersive workshops over several years. In September 2025, I was selected for the Open Studio Residency at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine—two weeks of uninterrupted making that continues to shape my evolving practice.

Closer to home, I have taken classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center since 2018 and maintain an active studio practice there, as well as at the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia.

In 2025, my Teetering earrings were selected for the Creative Crafts Council Biennial, a juried exhibition showcasing fine craft across the DMV region.

Interested in a piece not currently in the shop?

I occasionally accept commissions based on existing works from my collection. If you’re interested, I’d be glad to hear from you.
